And they marvelled at him. Mark 12:17 (KJV) SYNOPSIS OF TALK Rumours of a 14th General Election has looming in the minds of Malaysians for the past year. As the media and political types jump into the fray in trying to figure out when this will take place, many of the dates suggested are still speculation. However, as this wait continues, Christians are often challenged with the question of "how active should a Christian be in the national political discourse ?" Some will choose to stay out of it as they view politics as something that is "dirty" and taints anyone who meddles with it. On the other hand, we find in the likes of Hannah Yeoh (Speaker of the Selangor State Assembly) those who desire to trek the extra mile to be in the forefront of shaping and influencing national policy. To navigate through some of these important issues, the Jalan Imbi Chapel has invited Mr. Lee Min Choon to share his thoughts on this matter. Mr. Lee Min Choon is no stranger to the issues that Christians in Malaysia grapple with. In 2014, as the sitting president for the Bible Society of Malaysia (BSM) he was forced into the limelight during the religious authority (JAIS) raid of the BSM office that saw Malay and Iban language Bibles being seized and BSM staff brought in for questioning.
